WHAT WOULD SNOOP DOGG DO IF HE HAD A TIME MACHINE?

A journey through eras, chaos, and pure Snoop-style revelry was captured in this unique venture. For this project, I took on the role of video editor, working closely with Jesse Wellens and James Defina to manifest his visionary concept. Our aim was to not just tell a story but to weave a tapestry of engaging visuals that flowed seamlessly from one scene to another. The narrative was as dynamic as Snoop's beats, inviting viewers into a world where time had no boundaries. From the captivating intro scene featuring a classroom, where Snoop himself transformed into a student, to the stunning moment when he burst through a wall to reveal a bedroom where self-obsession and app-altered self-images reigned, the visual journey was a whirlwind of imagination. Then, with a leap into a time machine, we traversed history, arriving at a cotton plantation where Snoop's intervention against oppression became a moment of empowerment. The depth of the storyline was enhanced by an intriguing cut scene, akin to a movie excerpt, complete with sound design and dialog recording that transported the audience into the heart of the action. The video continued to unfold with whimsical scenes from the multiverse, including a cosmic snapshot of Tupac and Snoop side by side in space, the lyrics echoing through the cosmos. Moreover, we playfully incorporated a greenscreen sword-fighting sequence with Snoop, gifting fans a meme-ready slice of creativity.

• As the video editor, my canvas was a collection of assorted scenes and actions performed by Snoop Dogg. My mission? To orchestrate these fragments into a seamless symphony that would lead viewers on a mesmerizing journey, all while aligning with the director's vision. With each clip, I pieced together a storyline that didn't just flow; it pulsed to the rhythm of Snoop's music, creating a unique fusion of sound and visuals.

SOUND DESIGN

• This video wasn't just about visuals; it was a soundscape of its own. My role as a sound design virtuoso was to sculpt audio elements that resonated with each scene's emotional undertones. Notably, the cut scene, a transcendent moment, relied solely on sound design to convey the intensity. Here, music momentarily gave way to a carefully curated orchestra of sounds that elevated the cinematic impact, bridging the gap between music and storytelling.
